The Fund for the Archives and Mission Research Center
We must preserve our heritage to inspire future generations of scholars and theologians.

The Episcopal Archives is a resource that can be likened to a modern Book of Acts. The Archives preserves, organizes and provides access to the fullness and diversity of the Church’s history, serving as a pillar of the Church’s past, a dynamic reflection of the present, and a touchstone for the future.

The Fund for the Archives and Mission Research Center, like the Funds that comprise the Mission Funding Initiative, is critically important to the future of the Church. However, unlike the other Funds, the Fund for the Archives and Mission Research Center is a “bricks and mortar” project of immediate and pressing need. To properly preserve and manage its ever-growing collection, the Archives requires a technologically advanced facility equipped to meet the rigorous environmental requirements for preserving original source material in a broad array of formats and media.

The Fund for the Archives and Mission Research Center will secure the funds necessary to purchase land, construct a state-of-the art archival facility and establish a fully functional research center that will preserve the Church’s spiritual and cultural heritage and promote education about the Church’s rich history and evolving mission.
